Our Peeler Crab Legs from the River Teign in Teignmouth, Devon are a natural sea-fishing bait packed with the scent of crab.
Far from being just an alternative to whole peeler, crab legs make an excellent bait in their own right. They can be fished individually, bundled together into a larger crab bait, or combined with worm and other crab baits.
Particularly effective for smoothhounds, bass, cod and flounder, they're ideal for fishing estuaries, beaches, mixed ground and rough ground where crabs form a natural part of the fishes' diet.

BASS
Peeler crab legs make an excellent natural bait for bass, particularly around estuaries, harbour mouths, beaches and rocky ground.

COD

HOW TO PREPARE PEELER CRAB LEGS
Peeler legs can be used individually for smaller presentations or several can be bundled together to create a larger bait.
Use bait elastic to hold the legs and softer contents securely around the hook. The aim is a compact crab bait, not a tightly bound ball that hides the hook.
For smoothhounds and larger bass, several legs bound together can produce a substantial crab presentation without needing a whole peeler.
Always leave the hook point and gape exposed.
